Application instructions

The application procedures, deadlines and admission criteria are specified for each degree programme.

Each department arranges an entrance examination of its own. The dates, venues and other details will be confirmed by the faculty in question.

Some programmes offer special preparatory courses for those who cannot meet the acceptance criteria for BA/BSc level programmes. (see Preparatory courses)
Hungarian and English language preparatory training programmes are provided by the Foreign Language Training Institute of the University (see language courses)

All application materials, including the required enclosures must be sent to the coordinator of the relevant programme by the application deadlines of the programmes.
If the applicant sends only simple copies of documents where original or officially attested copies are needed, he/she has to present the original or officially attested copy at the entrance examination or at registration the latest.

For details and guidelines as well as application forms please visit the relevant programme1s website.

"Study in Budapest
The Princeton Review

If the goal is to immerse yourself completely into this unique culture and language, then the best path may lead to Budapest: Hungary's capital and largest city. Once three individual cities—Obuda, Buda, and Pest—the capital was officially united in 1873. Today, having emerged from communism a cosmopolitan city, Budapest is a lively place considered by many tourists to be among the hidden treasures of Central and Eastern Europe.

Separating Buda from Pest is the Danube River: The heart and soul of the city. At night, as the seven bridges, the castle, and Parliament all light up and are reflected in the dark waters, the view is spectacular.. The city also boasts a number of hot springs which the Turks, in the 16th and 17th centuries, used to build a multitude of baths still frequented by tourists from all over the world."
